Hasan Ali awarded contracts without open tender, says Khalid

SHAH ALAM, March 27 — Removed state executive councillor Datuk Dr Hasan Ali had awarded contracts without open tender during his tenure, Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said today.

Khalid (picture) made this statement during today’s state assembly sitting, saying Hasan did not seek approval from the state treasury not to implement open tender for road maintenance jobs in Selangor.

“Hasan did not carry out his duties by not following protocols,” he said, explaining that Hasan needed approval from the state financial officer before implementing such a policy, but had not done so.
