AdilanClub: Mahathir: Profile of a congenital treasonous serial liar?

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

Has there been a more loathsome, reviled, offensive, malevolent, repulsive, abhorrent and abhorred person in Asian politics than this man who claims he is a Constitutional Malay, but not an Indian even though his father was a Keralan of India descent? Since when, and by what logic or magic, did religion change anyone's DNA?

And I exult now that he has fallen on his own sword in his continuing vendetta against the man he (and UMNO/BN) fears more than anyone else, Anwar Ibrahim.

In his haste to anyhow link Anwar Ibrahim to the infamous and traitorous 'Project M Blue Identity Cards (IC) and Citizenships For Sale To Muslims' scandal, to illegally re-engineer the population mix in Sabah during his tenure as Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1981-2003, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has over-played his hand.

AdilanClub: That horror called Muhyiddin

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

Spring cleaning one’s room is similar to embarking on a treasure hunt, unearthing precious items lurking under the bed or in the dark corners of a closet. During one such recent endeavour, I stumbled upon two books, and sandwiched between them, was the mangled remains of a cockroach.

It is not certain if an unfortunate accident had befallen the cockroach in a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time or if the poor creature was the victim of a cold-blooded murder.

As for the two books enveloped in a blanket of dust, one was Niccolo Machiavelli’s The Prince. It is a political treatise penned centuries ago but still relevant. It speaks of tyrannical statecraft and reminded me of Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The second book was Paolo Coelho’s The Alchemist, which narrates the travails of a shepherd in search of his personal legend. This reminded me of Anwar Ibrahim.

AdilanClub: It's a cow, it's a cockroach. No, it's a chicken - the Nong Chik dare-not-to-debate Nurul broiler!

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

All over Lembah Pantai, posters of a rodent-like creature have appeared. Nose twitching, it insists on wishing you a Happy New Year, or a Happy FT Day or whatever the occasion is. Recently it was all over town in person, attempting to ingratiate itself with the Chinese residents of Lembah Pantai, by handing out oranges to all and sundry. Closer examination reveals the creature to be none other than the inept FT Minister, Raja Nong Chik.

Nong Chik appears to have got it into his head that he can beat the incumbent MP for Lembah Pantai, Nurul Izzah Anwar, at the next elections. To this end he has gone around painting various neglected buildings. The neglect in the first place, of course, was of BN’s doing.

Nong Chik also appears to have acquired a small army of thuggish Mat Rempits, who, bankrolled by their generous patron, and suitably high on various drugs, go around town disrupting opposition ceramahs. Their modus operandi appears to be to shout, to rev their bikes, to throw stones at the general public and occasionally to stab someone.

AdilanClub: Men seduced into cybersex via webcam... and then BLACKMAILED!

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

Police in Singapore have warned of a rise in online scam artists who use attractive women to 'friend' victims on social sites, then seduce them into cybersex on webcams to blackmail them.

The women, who prowl for men on sites such as Facebook charm the men into undressing or performing sex acts, then threaten to post images or videos of them online if they do not pay up.

According to the police, more than 50 such cases were reported in 2012, up from 11 the previous year.

AdilanClub: Playing right strategy against weak PM

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

For all the flak, misgivings, rhetoric and allegations made out against him, S Samy Vellu is a far better leader than Najib Tun Razak.

In terms of leadership and leadership qualities, he is light years ahead of Najib.

Samy Vellu was only a minister in the cabinet yet he had so much to show and be proud of.

Samy Vellu was first appointed to the Malaysian cabinet in 1979, as Housing Minister, then Works Minister until 1989. Then from 1989 to 1995 he was Energy, Telecommunications and Works Minister. In 1995 he returned to the Works Ministry, where he remained until he lost his parliamentary seat in the 2008 general election.

AdilanClub: Stop Dr M before he burns M’sia, says Bishop

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

KUALA LUMPUR: Once the object of love and veneration but now hate and denigration, Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s constant outbursts have made him one of the most criticised individuals in this nation.

And even on Valentine’s Day, it is brickbats and not bouquets for the former premier.

Ironically, Mahathir who threw scores of people behind bars without trial on the basis of national security is now considered to be a threat himself.

And his unrestrained remarks on sensitive issues had earned him the wrath of a vocal senior clergyman as well.
