A Peeping Tom, who desperately tried to flee after being spotted, got stuck in the toilet drain instead.
The incident occurred at a petrol station in Liuzhou in Guangxi, China.
At the station, the toilets for males and females are located side-by-side separated by a wall, but a sewage drain is shared by both toilets.
Since March, a man was spotted peeping at the women from the gents' toilet through the drain hole.
He held a mirror and positioned his hand through the hole to watch the women's private parts reflected in the mirror. He managed to escape all the time.
Due to this, the petrol station management made a wood panel to close half the hole.
Even this could not stop the Peeping Tom.
Last week, he hid in one of the two cubicles in the females's toilet to peep at the women around 2.30pm.
A female worker of the gas station suspected something was amiss when the cubicle door was closed for over an hour.
She also realised that a man clad in a black T-shirt went into the toilet and never came out.
With help from her colleagues, they decided to break open the locked door.
The desperate Peeping Tom attempted to squeeze through the 25cm-wide hole to get into the men's toilet, but he got struck in the hole.
After being rescued by firemen, the man was taken to the police station for investigations.
