Since 2003, 53 billionaires in China have died in unnatural ways.
New Culture News published the article after conducting a survey of public reports of billionaires’ deaths over the past eight years.
Among the billionaires, 15 were murdered, 17 committed suicide, seven died from accidents, 14 were executed according to the law and 19 died from diseases.
The daily, however, did not reveal how old the billionaires were when they died.
There were approximately 60,000 people worth at least 100mil yuan (RM46mil) each in China as of last year, according to the GroupM Knowledge - Hurun Wealth Report 2011.
