An American man has been notified that he will receive a love letter from his college sweetheart 53 years after it was originally posted.
BBC News reports that the letter was sent to Clark C. Moore back in 1958, but never arrived.
The love letter somehow resurfaced at a Pennsylvanian university mailroom in early July, but attendants struggled to track Moore down because he had since changed his name to Muhammad Siddeeq.
"We have a system here in America where if something is for you and if they find it, it gets to you," Siddeeq told WTAE, after receiving news that his long-lost love letter was finally on its way.
"[It is] a testament of the sincerity, interest, and innocence of that time," he added.
The 74-year-old Siddeeq was married to the sender, and the two had four children together, although they have since divorced.
