Paris Hilton furious: Who me, a has-been?

YOU can ask Paris Hilton about handbags, you can ask her about perfume. Heck, you can even ask her about stalkers. Just don't bring up Kim Kardashian.
Good Morning America host Dan Harris found this out to his cost when the celebrity heiress stormed out of an interview after he dared to suggest that her stardom had been eclipsed by her former friend now reality TV rival and that she was now past her prime.
Hilton became visibly irritated when Harris asked her about her relevance in the sea of reality stars like the Kardashian sisters, in an interview taped at her Los Angeles mansion.

He asked: "Do you worry at times that people who have followed in your footsteps like Kim Kardashian are over shadowing you?"
She replied through gritted teeth: "No, not at all."
Hilton's latest stab at reality TV, in The World According to Paris, has posted low ratings and failed to gain the attention of her TV debut on The Simple Life in 2003, prompting Harris to ask her "if her moment has passed".

Hilton shifted in her chair and looked away from the interviewer and toward her publicist.
"Do you want to wrap up?" Harris asked her, trying to smooth over the awkward moment. Without responding, the 30-year-old got up and engaged in a "heated conversation" with her publicist.
She could be heard saying off camera: "I don't want all this being used."

She eventually returned to the interview and delivered what seemed like a coached answer.
"I've been doing this for 15 years now, so it's been a long time so just like any other business person or someone in the industry, it is always important to reinvent yourself and come up with new projects," she said.
She then took a sly swipe at the Kardashians. "So many people that are rich do nothing. I like being able to do what I want, to buy whatever I want, and to not ask for permission like some of my other friends who are adults but live like children."
Hilton was also asked about the alleged stalker arrested outside her home earlier this month. That line of questioning didn't upset her.
"It is very unsettling, because you don't know what frame of mind someone like that is in.
"Now four times he has tried to get in contact with me."
Although Hilton's TV success is questionable, her publicist said Hilton is busy overseeing a fragrance empire valued at $US1 billion, in addition to a clothing and handbag line.
