Mustafa says it again: It was Umno behind the JAIS-DUMC row

PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali reiterated that he has proof UMNO was behind the JAIS raid into the Damansara Utama Methodist Church, where JAIS had gate-crashed an AIDS charity dinner, insisting that Muslims attendees were being proselytized by the organiser and church officials.
His revelation made public earlier this week sparked a hue and cry amongst Selangor UMNO supporters, frantic not to have the incident boomerang as has happened in the past resulting in a loss of confidence.

Selangor UMNO leaders, including liaison committee secretary Mohd Zin Mohamed, rushed to demand an apology but Mustafa, known to be among the ulamak hardliners in PAS, refused to relent.
“I defend what I said before this. There’s no question of apology here,” Harakahdaily reported him as saying.
Aim is to destabilize Selangor Pakatan
On Tuesday, Mustafa had urged PAS leaders and members not to fall into UMNO’s trap as he had received "highly reliable internal information" that UMNO had a role in the JAIS operation during the dinner event held by DUMC.
“I must reveal such information as there has been much speculation about the raid. Normally, the Selangor Menteri Besar, the state Exco and JAIS director will be responsible for the department’s actions but all three were only informed after the raid was conducted,” he had said.
“The aim is to destabilise the Selangor government and disunity among the Pakatan Rakyat component parties."
According to Mustafa, his source told him that JAIS had deliberately delayed acting against those behind the alleged propagation of Christianity to Muslims so that the issue could be politicised.
PAS had plained to meet with both JAIS and DUMC officials. But JAIS declined, insisting that the Sultan had "ordered" it not to meet anyone until its report was ready. DUMC then decided to defer the PAS meeting until a later date.
DUMC and AIDS NGO Harapan Kommuniti have denied proselytizing the 12 Muslim guests, who were part of the 120-member dinner function.
