A SPICEJET pilot who had his licence suspended for forcibly kissing an air stewardess has lost an appeal to get his wings back, The Times of India said last week.
According to the inquiry report quoted in the story, the stewardess was suddenly kissed by the pilot when she entered the cockpit during a September 3 flight.
She was “too stunned to react” and kissed a second time, after which she left the cockpit, with the pilot in pursuit in a suspected bid to apologise.
The chief of India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation is believed to have taken a serious view of the matter, The Times of India reported, and said that a mere apology would not suffice.
SpiceJet, a low-cost carrier based in India, did not offer any comment over the case, the report said.
