MALACCA - A 38-year-old Indonesian alleged that a newly-acquainted friend held her captive for several hours before raping and relieving her of her belongings.
The victim lodged a police report claiming that she met the perpetrator, nicknamed Ken, in his late 30s at a coffeehouse in Taman Malim Jaya here at 1.40am on Sept 3. He then invited her to go with him to an entertainment outlet.
In her report, the victim, who resides at Taman Seri Mangga, alleged that instead of going to the outlet in Taman Melaka Raya, Ken took her to a house and asked her to wait there for another friend.
When Ken's friend failed to show up, the victim requested that she be sent home but he refused and turned aggressive.
The victim claimed that Ken then brandished a knife and threatened to take off her clothes before raping her.
The victim alleged she was then dragged to a chair and had both her legs and hands bound together and her mouth gagged.
The victim claimed that Ken left the house for several hours and threatened to kill her when he returned.
Ken finally released her but not before grabbing her handphone and RM120 cash.
She then sought help from a passer-by who took her to a nearby clinic.
She returned home and lodged a police report at the Malim police station on Tuesday.
Malacca police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said police had identified the suspect and expected to detain him soon.
