THE only way is up for this daft woman - as she battles determinedly to the top of an escalator going the WRONG way.
The unidentified blonde caused hoots of laughter - and a surge of traffic on YouTube - with her department store antics.
The amateur footage was shot in posh New York shop, Saks, and it shows the pretty woman's increasingly desperate attempts to reach the top of the steps.
At first seemingly unaware of her mistake, she walks up the steps at a casual rate - but gets nowhere.
As sniggering shoppers then glide past her in the opposite direction, the mac-wearing marvel starts hiking her way faster and faster up each tread of the moving stairs.
Finally, after 42 seconds and the thigh workout of a lifetime, the hapless lady reaches her goal.
But not before she has clasped both handrails and heaved her bodyweight up and forward to be free - to the giggles and disbelief of her fellow shoppers.
The clip, uploaded last Friday, has now had more than 300,000 hits on the video sharing website with users quick to make a joke at her expense.
WillianProductions17 wrote: "Thank God she's beautiful..." while others suggested the funny footage was staged.
Emilyxdaniels laughed in her defence: "Whatever. Free stairmaster is what I say."
