T
he Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) yesterday approved Le Crazy Horse dance troupe from Paris, a world-famous stage performances featuring nude female dancers, to start a monthlong performance series in Taipei.
CLA's Employment and Vocational Training Administration Deputy-Director Liao Wei-jen yesterday said the ministry decided to approve the show after reviewing video clips sent by its local organizers.
The performance as shown in the clips did not violate related regulations, so the CLA saw no reason to disapprove its application, Liao said.
But related authorities would closely monitor its performance during the upcoming show in the capital city to check if its organizers have followed laws by permitting underage audiences from watching, he said.
All public arts performances should also be carried out in line with applications that have gained approval from the CLA, he noted.
