Student detained after bomb threat on Facebook

GEORGE TOWN- A 24-year-old university undergraduate was detained for questioning after threatening to bomb Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's helicopter in a Facebook posting.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said the student was brought in to the district police headquarters on Patani Road for questioning at around 1.30pm on Sunday.
“Police are investigating the case under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation. He was earlier picked up at his campus in Nibong Tebal.
“The case is pending further investigations. We will announce if there is any development,” he said when contacted Sunday.
A police report had been lodged at the Jelutong police station against a blog posting which featured a screenshot of the student's Facebook profile.
In the latest status update on the Facebook profile, it was written najib is coming to our campus...let's bomb his helicopter...'.
