Police have arrested a naked man who climbed to the top of a communications tower in downtown Los Angeles in california, US, and sat there for more than four hours.
He refused to come down from his perch for hours - until police complied with his request for two hamburgers from McDonald's.
The 45-year-old man from Arizona climbed to the top of the structure Wednesday afternoon, shedding his clothes during the ascent, according to the Los Angeles Times.
It was not yet clear what prompted him to scale the tower - which was part of a city personnel building - but he remained there in a stand-off with police for hours.
Police sources told the newspaper that, at one point, he asked for hamburgers from McDonald's.
Officials apparently fulfilled his request and the man agreed to come down after eating his meal.
Officer Karen Rayner said the man parked his car in the rear driveway of the police department's personnel building on East Temple Street shortly before 4 pm.
She said he began climbing the tower and removed his clothes along the way up.
The man climbed down a ladder to a platform about midway down the tower at about 8:30 pm Wednesday.
He was wrapped in a blanket, lowered to the ground in a basket by a makeshift pulley system and taken into custody.
