He threatened to beat her and to kill her children if she did not comply. And so she stood near a roundabout recently, her hair in a greasy ponytail, charging $40 for intercourse, $27 for oral sex.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 — DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng today condemned police authorities and Umno ministers for the inaction over yesterday’s pre-dawn assault on student activists at Dataran Merdeka.

“Reports have come in stating that policemen had been on duty in the area but had not intervened until the student leaders pleaded for help,” Lim said today in a press statement.

“Although they finally quelled the violent attacks, it was too little too late and most of the thugs had already left. In the end, only one person was apprehended,” he added.

“We are going to go ahead with it anyway,” she told reporters at a press conference today.

Fellow Bersih 2.0 steering committee member Maria Chin Abdullah said it received this morning City Hall’s letter rejecting its request to hold the event at the historic square on April 28.

VIDEO A mob of at least 40 thugs attacked a group of students camping at the Dataran Merdeka or Independence Square in Kuala Lumpur, destroying equipment and beating up even the girls sleeping in their tents.

The incident happened around 3am and the police were slammed for not doing enough to stop the violence.

"The video shows the police were not ready. They failed to control the situation and the wild behavior of the gangsters,(true crime)" political activist Fahmi Fadzil wrote on his Twitter.
