AdilanClub: 'Forced abortion' picture causes uproar in China

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

BEIJING - Graphic images posted online showing the bloody corpse of a baby whose mother was allegedly forced to terminate her pregnancy at seven months have caused an uproar in China.

Rights groups say authorities in north China's Shaanxi province forced Feng Jianmei to abort her pregnancy on June 2 because she was unable to pay a 40,000 yuan (S$8,000) fine for exceeding China's "one-child" population control policy.

Authorities in Zhenping county, where the abortion took place, said that Feng had agreed to the procedure, but a relative told AFP that she and her husband had opposed the abortion.

AdilanClub: SECRET IS OUT: Najib has no evidence at all Bersih 3.0 was a Pakatan plot - Kit Siang

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news
Question No. 4 during Question Time in Parliament today was the star attraction of the day as I had asked the Prime Minister to substantiate his allegation more than a month ago that Bersih 3.0 rally was a coup attempt by the Opposition to overthrow the government.
MPs from both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat were expecting some “shocking” revelations to substantiate the very serious allegation by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Gua Musang on 4th May and which had the immediate support of three former Inspectors-General of Police, Tun Hanif Omar, Tan Sri Rahim Noor and Tan Sri Musa Hassan that the Bersih 3.0 rally was a coup d’etat attempt by Pakatan Rakyat to overthrow the Najib government  on April 28 itself!

AdilanClub: Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire -- Health minister lurches into Hell lair

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

THIS IS A LIGHTED-HEARTED POST, written by a knotty BUMmer who uses lots of what he claims as DDC; if someone irritating as that midnight mosquito hovering around thy ears comes in to remind that Desi's showing off his wordsmithry, you think I care? So to the readers I hold in esteem -- this art is to be taken only half-seriously, the rest in jest if thy hath a SENse of humour.

According to the NST frontpage today (reproduced in full below***as it is short, but I'm not a shareholder or empolyee of the New Straits Times, OK!), the Health Minister has outdone himself, and soon he will join the ranks of his predecessor, Dr Chua Soi Leg, who found the health portfolio had turned into Hell when he confessed publicly that yes, I was that man depicted into the sex tape, now here's my paraphrasing -- 'performing out-of-this-world sex with a woman not my wife...', making him despite being elected as MCA president not tenable to perform in the Cabinet. (Which maketh Liow Tiong Lai a damned happy man, for a w'ile!)

AdilanClub: 'Panicking' Liow gives up WWW15, but NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

Under heavy public attack, Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai announced he would surrender his coveted WWW 15 car plate registration number that he was accused of paying RM24,200 for.

But no, throwing the baby out with the bath water will not help Liow, say opposition critics from the Pakatan Rakyat.

"I think he and MCA are panicking. It is not right to run away like this, it will only crystallize an image of him being a weak and irresponsible leader - someone who doesn't practice what he preaches or say what he means," PKR vice president Chua Jui Meng told Malaysia Chronicle.

AdilanClub: No weapons left, ailing Umno exploits non-Malay PM issue to alarm innocent Malays

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news

This question about a non-Malay Prime Minister is being exploited by UMNO to alarm the innocent Malays. All Karpal Singh is saying is that legally you can have non-Malay or non-Muslim as Prime Minister. From the constitutional point of view he is spot-on.  He may be politically off the grid in the Malaysian context but he has not erred constitutionally.

The Federal Constitution of Malaysia clearly stipulates that the race and religion of the Prime Minister are not the criteria here. Article 43(2)(a) of the Constitution just merely stipulates that His Majesty the Agong is to appoint a Prime Minister from amongst a Member of the House (elected Member of Parliament) who commands the confidence of the majority of the Members of the House.

Yesterday, Peter Benedict Lim Sin Pang, former head of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), was slapped with 10 charges of allegedly obtaining sexual favours from three women in exchange for favouring the women's firms in IT-related tenders called by the SCDF.

AdilanClub:Breaking news, is the best for news
