How did $23 million help advance singer Ho Yeow Sun's music career in the US?

Ho Yeow Sun, 42, popularly known as Sun Ho, is married to Pastor Kong Hee, 47, founder of City Harvest Church. The couple have a 7-year-old son, Dayan.

Kong is currently facing charges of alleged misuse of at least $23 million of church funds to finance his wife's singing career in the US.

A "Crossover Project", started in 2002 by the couple, was set up to use Ho's secular music to connect with people and reach out to non-Christians, local media agencies reported.

Although Bersih co-chief Ambiga Sreenevasan did not say it should be Umno-BN lawmakers who should be hung, her retort that giving away citizenship in exchange for votes is treason enough makes it clear that if anyone deserved capital punishment, it should Prime Minister Najib Razak's coalition, which has been accused of desperate tactics to win the coming general election.

“As for treason, asking for free and fair elections is not treason. Giving away citizenship for votes is,” Ambiga was reported as saying by Malaysian Insider.

She was responding to a comment from Umno's Sri Gading MP Mohamad Aziz, who was busy in Parliament on Tuesday night 'defending' his coalition on several issues.

Mohamad, in a press conference said that he had meant no harm in his statement, adding that what was spoken on Tuesday night at the Dewan Rakyat was in the context of national security.

UMNO leaders feel that Malaysia belongs to them and them alone. So let Mohamad Aziz go and find the rope to hang Ambiga Sreenevasan. Let him and UMNO do it.

Just don’t use the police, the Attorney General and the courts to determine whether Ambiga should be hung or not. Firstly, it's a huge waste of public money and secondly even the Opposition is not sure if courts will find Ambiga guilty or not? After all, aren’t the police, the AG and the courts working for UMNO? So, why argue -  just let Aziz and UMNO do it!

RTM, TV3, Utusan, NST, and don’t forget the Star and of course Astro must start informing the people and the entire world of the bad deeds that Ambiga has committed in the run-up to TREASONOUS BERSIH 3.0. The police should have enough footage to give to Information minister Rais Yatim to compile and produce a very convincing video to prove how serious Ambiga’s crimes are. Let Rais, edit and 'photoshop' as much as he likes as long as the entire world is convinced, and even the highest court in the Universe will find Ambiga guilty. GUILTY!

Former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad predicts that the next general election will be all about race because Malaysia has become more racist than before. However, the 86-year strongman widely blamed for pioneering the current brand of nearly apartheid politics did not say why such a situation had come about.

“In this country, we are very racist, even more than before. The next election is going to be about race. Who gives what, who gets what based on race. When the government is weak, it caters to demands which are not going to be good for the country in the long run,” said Mahathir, who still wields great influence in Prime Minister Najib Razak's ruling Umno party.

A man in his 20s or 30s was video-taped punching and kicking a 20 year old pregnant PRC girl at Sophia Road.

The girl claimed she was a tourist in Singapore having supper with friends at a food court when she accidentally spilled her a few drops of her Ma La soup on the man sitting nearby who then got up to punch her.

In the video, the man was seen kicking the girl onto the ground and continued to stamp on her. It is not known if he is a local or foreigner.

This was revealed in a survey on global sexual attitudes and behaviours, conducted by Durex in its latest Global Sexual Wellbeing Survey.

This is in contrast to other regions outside of Asia, where respondents said that the top benefit of having a good and fulfilling sex life is that it puts them in a better mood.
