Hundreds of weekend beachgoers in Rio das Ostras, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil got more than sunshine and ocean breeze when a couple decided to have sex in the water.
In a video posted on YouTube, some people attempted to stop them by calling the police, but many others allowed the two to get the job done. The gung ho spectators cheered and applauded the pair at the end of their lovemaking.

The three-minute clip shows the young couple hugging each other in the Atlantic, a few metres from the crowded beach. Several people, including kids, can be seen swimming around them. After their shag, the woman turns to look at the beach and sees that they've become the centre of attention.
According to Gawker, which quoted Brazilian news outlet O Dia, the unidentified couple were hauled into the local police precinct and charged with indecent exposure. They were ordered to pay a fine and were released later.
