Samad Said: It's time for regime change

Unknown | 1:17 PM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

It's for Malaysia's own version of 'regime change'. The only difference is that this call is not emanating from the White House, but from our own National laureate A Samad Said.
“The time has come for a regime change. We have given the current ruling party 54 years. And we should not allow for any longer than that,” said Samad while officiating the ‘Let’s Read Alternative Media’ campaign organised by Malaysian Students Solidarity yesterday .

Samad however said a 'regime change' would only be possible through the youths.

“Regime change can only be realised by the youths,” he said.

Samad, who said he had shunned all government-controlled mainstream  media for a year now, said these media would turn into 'gangsters' in the absence of the alternative media.

“The portrayal given by mainstream papers is black and white based on 'ruling party is always right, and opponents are always wrong’,” he added.

Samad also did not attempt to hide his preference to be among the "opponents of the government".

“The alternative media are more suitable to the young, who will travel to every corner of the country to explain to the people what is really happening,” he added.

Our last chance to make the change

Unknown | 4:46 AM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

What we do not need in this country are politicians. We don’t need the politicking. We do not need them to politicise their fears, their failures and their unending excuses. We do not need them to scare us or try to divide the people. What we need are people willing to serve the nation, serve the people and do their jobs sincerely as government servants.
Politicians spend too much talking. They are constantly in a state of denial, giving excuses for everything that they didn’t do. They keep telling us that they need more time to implement changes, which they never started in the first place. Malaysia is on auto pilot while the politicians are bickering among themselves, finding faults with each other and with the Opposition.

Now everyone can make change

Unknown | 10:13 PM | | | Best Blogger Tips

To the living who are among the living dead,
Let the sun’s dawn upon the nation and upon you on July 9 be not in vain. May its light not be eclipsed in you, but the brilliance of 10.000 suns flow through the children of the sun.
