Woman cuts off father-in-law's penis

KABUL - An Afghan woman cut off her father-in-law's penis with a knife after he tried to have sex with her, a doctor in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province said Saturday.

"One day when the husband was away from home he attempted to have sex with his daughter-in-law and she cut off his penis with a knife," the doctor from a private hospital in Ghazni said on condition of anonymity.

The man went for treatment at the private hospital but was sent on to the capital Kabul for specialist treatment, he added. The incident took place two weeks ago but has only just come to light.

According to figures in an Oxfam report in October, 87 percent of Afghan women report having experienced physical, sexual or psychological violence or forced marriage.

Wife cuts off husband's private part and throws into river

A woman cut off her husband's penis with a pair of scissors and threw the severed member into a river in revenge for his affair with another woman and his physical abuse, police in Taiwan said.

The 30-year-old Vietnamese woman, identified only by her surname, Pan, cut off about half her husband's penis at their home in the southern city of Tainan after he took drugs and sleeping pills and fell asleep, police said.

The woman allegedly claimed she had thrown the severed member of her drug-addicted Taiwanese husband into a river before turning herself in.

"She has been taken into custody on charges of assault," a police officer told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Man kills wife's lover, cuts off private part

A Jordanian who admitted to killing his wife's alleged lover cut off the man's manhood before putting it in a bag and handing it over to police, a judicial official said Monday.

The 35-year-old man 'lured the victim to a hotel room in downtown Amman, claiming that he wanted to resolve the issue about his wife quietly' on Saturday, the official told AFP.

The suspect then tied up the alleged lover, sodomised him and slit his throat before cutting off his penis.

"He handed himself in to police on the same day of the murder, which took place on Saturday, and confessed, giving them a bag that had the other man's penis," confirmed the official.

The 27-year-old woman and her alleged lover had been in detention after the suspect, who has a criminal record, sued them for adultery several months ago, he said, adding the two were released recently after a general amnesty.

"The husband was enraged because they were freed and decided to commit the crime. He has been charged with premeditated murder," said the official.
