Dentist-singer jailed for sex offence

A dentist has been jailed for a sex offence in Taiwan.

Chen Ching-Feng, better known by his stage name of Chen I-Sheng, has released several albums since 2008.

He is popular for his high-pitched voice which resembles that of the late Tom Chang.

Boy, 3, Sold For Sex by Babysitter to Get Meth – Tortured and Fighting for Life – Mother Does NOTHING

A three year old boy has been left fighting for his life after being ‘sold’ by his babysitter to two men who raped and tortured the toddler.

Police said the boy from Oklahoma was forced to drink bleach and had part of his skull torn off during the horrific assault. His face, eyes and throat were all covered in chemical burns and he had been hanged from a ceiling with a dog collar.

Investigators said Jennifer Chapman, who was looking after the boy, allegedly offered the boy to two men for sex in exchange for methamphetamine.

The two men allegedly raped and tortured the boy for several hours before returning him to 43 year old Chapman at the Oklahoma motel where she was staying with the boy’s mother Leana Lauck.

According to police when Ms Lauck, 31, saw the injuries to her son she decided against taking him to hospital for urgent treatment and instead began taking meth with her friend.

An arrest report revealed that the boy, who has not been named, suffered for 18 hours before he was taken to hospital.

A police report revealed the toddler was taken to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City with numerous bruises on his body.

He also had an injury on the base of his skull with the possibility of brain injury.

‘The scalp was removed, part of it,’ said family member Stacy Felkins.

‘His big sister said, ‘I saw people trying to make him drink stuff, then he went to sleep and I think he’s dead,’.

‘He may die and he’s had things happen to him that may never go away if he does make it. It makes me sick.’

‘I think jail would be too good for them,’ said Ms Felkins.

‘That’s the most evil thing you can do.’

Police say they are still searching for the two men responsible for the actual abuse.

The boy’s mother told police she knew her son was badly injured but was afraid to seek treatment for fear of what would happen to her.

She told detectives she chose to smoke meth while her son lay in agony in the same motel room.

‘To have somebody commit such an act of violence on an innocent child is horrific for anybody to see,’ said Oklahoma City Police Department Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow.

Ms Lauck has been charged with child neglect while Chapman faces similar charges.

Pretty girl offered US$5,000 for sex

A forumer says that his girlfriend was offered US$5,000 to sleep with Arab diplomats.

 A netizen has posted in the HardwareZone forum to say that his girlfriend was offered US$5,000 by some Arab diplomats to spend the night with them.

A forumer who goes by the nickname “applefan” says that his girlfriend is a banquet manager in a local five star hotel. On 23 June, Thursday, she was assigned to receive the group of diplomats. Several of the men had begun leering at her and started to comment on her looks among themselves right in front of her.

The next day, the pretty manager received an SMS from one of the men, offering US$5,000 for her to sleep with him, and also US$3,000 for her colleague to do the same. She was outraged by the indecent proposal.

Her boyfriend “applefan” is asking for advice from fellow forumers on whether his girlfriend can make a police report with the SMS and whether the police can fine or jail the Arab diplomats.

Act against Ibrahim Ali for racist statement, says Khairy

KUALA LUMPUR - Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin urged the authorities to take action against Malay rights group Perkasa's president Datuk Ibrahim Ali for 'threatening' the Chinese community.

"It is a racist and seditious statement that is dangerous.

"Action should be taken against him as his statement is a clear threat," he told reporters at Parliament's lobby here on Monday.

He added that the authorities should use the Sedition Act to investigate Ibrahim over his statement.

Although supporting freedom of expression, Khairy said that Ibrahim had gone beyond that and had made a threat against the Chinese community by asking them to 'stock-up' for July 9.

He assured the Chinese community that the view put forth by Ibrahim was solely his own and did not represent that of Malays in general.

"Umno Youth does not subscribe to such a view," he added.

Ibrahim, who recently announced that Perkasa would hold a demonstration to counter the planned Bersih 2.0 street rally on July 9, had called on the Chinese to stock up on food.

Biker's body stuck under car for an hour

HE LOVED motorbikes and had been riding one since his polytechnic days.

He used to take pictures of the different motorbikes he owned and post them on his Facebook page.

Mr Ang Chee Peng, 26, was doing what he loved most on Thursday night.

He was riding along Upper East Coast Road when he was involved in an accident with a car.

The driver of the car was making a U-turn towards East Coast Road to pick up his wife and daughter at a bus stop at the time, reported Shin Min Daily News.

Mr Ang was flung from his sports motorbike and ended up pinned under the car.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call at 8.38pm and dispatched two fire engines, two fire bikes, an ambulance and two support vehicles to the scene.

When the SCDF officers arrived, Mr Ang, who had serious injuries, no longer had a pulse, the report said.

He was still trapped under the car when paramedics pronounced him dead around 9.30pm.

Some 20 officers took about an hour to extract the body from under the car. They used two airbags and a hydraulic spreader to lift the car to gain access to the body.

The driver of the car, who is in his early 50s, has been arrested for causing death by a rash act and is out on bail.

Mr Ang's motorbike skidded 50m from the accident site. His sports shoes were found 100m away, reported Shin Min Daily News.

One of the headlights of the car fell off and part of the car's body was damaged, the report said.

IN SHOCK

The driver, his wife and his daughter were seen standing by the roadside looking troubled and in shock.

According to the Chinese daily, the driver said he has high blood pressure.

His wife was heard crying and telling her daughter repeatedly: "I've caused trouble to your father. I shouldn't have asked him to come to pick us up."

When The New Paper went to Mr Ang's wake at Marine Terrace yesterday evening, members of his family were teary-eyed.

His mother, clad in a white top and black pants, was heard crying mournfully near his coffin. When approached, they declined to be interviewed.

A relative, who did not want to be identified, said Mr Ang was single.

His friends, some dressed in black, were seen arriving in different groups throughout the evening.

Some of them had studied with him at Temasek Polytechnic. They described him as someone who was "laid-back, outgoing and friendly".

One of them, who wanted to be known only as Jonathan, 25, said: "We've never seen him get angry. He's a good-natured and helpful person."

Mr Ang majored in Internet Computing at Temasek Polytechnic and later worked in the information technology (IT) industry.

A coursemate, Mr Rustin Neo, 25, an IT trainer, said that Mr Ang was a year older than them and the only one with his own transport.

Mr Neo said: "He changed his motorbike quite often."

When asked how Mr Ang acquired his bikes, he said: "He's the kind who would save up and won't ask parents for money."

During their polytechnic days, they used to play online games together, said Mr Neo.

"We didn't go out riding as I'm not a motorbike lover."

Mr Ang might have made other friends after they graduated in 2006, Mr Neo said.

"After graduation, we went our separate ways and we seldom met up. We knew about his passing today via an SMS.

"His brother went through his handphone and sent SMSes to all his friends on his phonebook. Among us, we spread the news around," he added.

When asked what Mr Ang was like as a rider, Mr Neo hesitated before replying: "He put on his helmet and rode like most riders.

"He looked like he was a careful rider."

Mr Ang's mother was overheard saying in Mandarin to his polytechnic friends who asked how she was coping: "I won't be okay. He's still my flesh."

She then advised them: "Before you do anything, you must consider your parents."

Mr Ang lived with his parents, elder brother and younger sister in a Marine Terrace flat. They have been living there for the past two years.

His parents have a stall at a nearby market and they always reminded Mr Ang to ride safely, Shin Min reported.

Police investigations are continuing.
