PETALING JAYA -- A Filipina maid was found bludgeoned to death at a house in Jalan Gasing here Saturday night.
Her employer told the police that he found the body of the 36-year-old victim in her bedroom about midnight.
The police have declined to identify the victim who had worked at the house for the past nine years.
Initial police investigations indicated the maid could have been murdered between 10pm and 11pm.
Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed said today, the police did not rule out the possibility of the victim having known her killer as there was no sign of a break-in.
He said an initial forensic examination showed the victim could have succumbed to a concussion on the back of the head. She had also sustained bruises and swellings on the body.
"We believe several items belonging to the victim could be missing as her belongings were found scattered in the room," said Arjunaidi, adding that the body was sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
