A BLOG run by a doctor who graduated from top schools in Singapore was apparently hacked into yesterday morning, exposing details of his alleged sexual escapades.
A post was made in Chinese and it accused the general practitioner of cheating on the feelings of the poster's sister, cheating her of her money and patronising prostitutes in Geylang.
It also included links to three videos of a man, which the post claimed was the doctor, having sex with a woman in a room.
Many other posts on the blog, dating back to 2001, were in English and were about medical issues. The doctor is believed to have worked for a major chain of clinics in Singapore as of last year, but he is understood to be no longer working there.
According to the blog, the doctor was a straight-A student who studied at a top secondary school and junior college in the 1990s.
A check on the Singapore Medical Council's website showed that the doctor is still practising. His primary practice is stated as "locum", which means he could be a part-time doctor or works at various clinics.
Mr Calvine Tan, an information-technology sales consultant in his late 30s, alerted the media to the incident.
Mr Tan told my paper that he was concerned that the doctor could continue practising and treating women and children if the allegations turn out to be true.
The doctor could not be contacted yesterday. The post on his alleged sex life was still on his blog at about 5pm.
By 6.30pm, all the contents of the blog had been removed.
