PETALING JAYA, Malaysia - A college girl who was stranded at a bus-stop at 3am accepted an offer of shelter from a passerby.
However, she ended up being raped by the man's housemate.
The man then robbed her of her valuables before leaving her at a KTM train station nearby, said Petaling Jaya OCPD Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed.
He said the victim had arrived from Perak to meet her boyfriend at Kampung Subang.
However, after a heated argument, the boyfriend left the victim at a bus stand on Saturday.
A youth on a motorcycle offered to take the girl to his home in the area.
"Later that night, the youth's housemate, who is in his 20s, raped the girl before sending her to the train station," ACP Arjunaidi said.
"She later lodged a report and police have arrested five men in their 20s, all of whom are staying at the house where the rape occurred," he said.
ACP Arjunaidi said they have been remanded until Wednesday.
The case is being investigated under Section 376, 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for rape and robbery.
