The below video is ample proof why motorists should keep a safe distance between their vehicles and the road user ahead.
In the incident which happened at 7.47pm, Jan 27, a motorcyclist skidded and fell into oncoming traffic in the KPE tunnel, Stomp reported.
An in-car camera captured the entire incident. Footage from the camera was uploaded onto YouTube on the same day. It has since received close to 3,000 views.
Cars around him suddenly braked and managed to avoid him.
Luckily the car behind him was travelling at a safe distance and was able to stop in time.
Users on Stomp remarked that the motorcyclist could have lost control because of a jammed piston.
User gutripper said the motorcyclist should have "clutch in" and roll to the side instead of braking.
Another user eaturwords commented that the bike may be a poorly maintained machine with a snapped chain that jammed the rear wheel.
