KUALA LUMPUR, August 4 ― Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has written to Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat requesting for a state representative to discuss oil royalty payments for the state, PAS’ Harakah Daily reported today.

Nik Aziz told the daily that the letter was received by his personal secretary Rosdi Mohamad.

However, he said state officials will consult the Kelantan Sultan before deciding to send his representative.

Conventional (read: antiquated) dating wisdom tells us that men and women have totally different feelings about sex. Women automatically get emotionally attached, and men quickly flee to the next sexual partner. But a new study helps put this myth to rest.

The research, out of Concordia University in Montreal, indicates that emotional attachment can actually grow out of sexual desire. Psychologist Jim Pfaus and his research team sought to discover where feelings of love and of sexual desire originate in the brain. To do that they reviewed 20 past studies that scanned men's and women's brains with fMRI machines. They found that love and lust, two supposedly separate emotions, actually originate in the same location in the brain -- the insular cortex (insula) and striatum, reported MSNBC. That doesn't mean love and sex are the same thing, just that they’re not as separate as “The Rules” might have you believe. “Love and sex are clearly overlapping and they are different,” Jim Pfaus, a professor of psychology at Concordia told MSNBC. “You can have desire for sex without love.”

Boffins in Brazil find eyeless creature that looks like a manhoodBOFFINS in Brazil have discovered a new type of snake — which resembles a male MANHOOD.

Experts came across the Atretochoana eiselti, which experts have dubbed the "floppy snake", as they examined a hydroelectric dam on a river in the Amazon.Six of the eyeless creatures — actually a family of "blind snake" more closely related to the salamander — were found living at the bottom of the Madeira River in Brazil’s northern state of Rondonia.

The discovery was made in November last year as a stretch of the river was being drained, but was only made public today after the snake’s genus was finally confirmed.

Julian Tupan, biologist for the Santo Antonio Energy company which is building the dam, told Brazil’s Estadao website that hardly anything is known about the lungless, limbless amphibians.

He said: “Of the six we collected, one died, three were released back into the wild and another two were kept for studies.

“Despite looking like snakes, they aren’t reptiles and are more closely related to salamanders and frogs.

"We think the animal breathes through its skin, and probably feeds on small fish and worms, but there is still nothing proven.

“The Amazon is a box of surprises when it comes to reptiles and amphibians. There are still much more to be discovered.”

Britain's National Health Service (NHS) recorded over 2,000 labiaplasties—plastic surgery for the vagina—carried out in 2011, although experts believe the actual count is much higher. "It's a massive boom industry in the private sector," said one medical watcher.

The operation, which reduces and reshapes the inner side of the vagina, costs around UK£3,000 and has seen a fivefold increase in the last five years.

In a move that many believe will backfire badly on Prime Minister Najib Razak, his government arrested PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli for exposing financial details in alleged contravention of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act.

In the most recent survey results on the same poll undertaken by Reader’s Digest, Kuala Lumpur ranked 34 out of 36 major cities in the list of Least Courteous Cities in the world.

Mother-of-eight Shamim Akhtar, 59, was jailed with her son Shamrez Khan and her son-in-law Zahid Mahmood for abusing Naila Afsar, then 23, out of 'some misplaced sense of warped family honour'.

Khan, 34, was given a five-year sentence and Mahmood, 37, was jailed for four years at Burnley Crown Court today.
