When she woke on June 4, 2005, Christina Symanski had been looking forward to an evening spent with friends, cousins and her new boyfriend – taking advantage of her aunt’s empty house.

But the 24-year-old from Linden, New Jersey had not foreseen what she later regarded as a lapse in judgement. In the early hours of the morning, she dove into a shallow pool, leaving her paralysed.

Six years and scores of blog posts about her ordeal later, Christina has died – starving herself so she would no longer be a burden on her family, and so that her boyfriend could finally move on.

Clad in what can only be described as a ‘mourning’ suit, a grief-stricken boyfriend married his dead girlfriend at herfuneral and then posted their wedding snaps on his Facebook page.

TV producer Chadil Deffy (also known as Deff Yingyuen) wore a top hat and tuxedo as he slid the wedding ring onto ‘bride’ Ann Kamsuk’s finger at the grim ceremony in Surin, Thailand.

The footage has since gone viral, having been ‘shared’ more than 50,000 times over the net.

Bank clerk murder: Police detain three men including boyfriend

Police have detained three men in connection with the murder of bank clerk, Rozana Mohd Yusak, who was stabbed 15 times in her rented house at Puncak Desa, Kepong on Dec 21.

The three men, aged between 19 and 20, included Rozana's boyfriend.
A police source said they were detained in separate raids in Pantai Dalam and Datuk Keramat yesterday.

Woman had sex with wrong 'boyfriend

A Chinese woman mistook a stranger to be her boyfriend and had sex with him.

Later when she lodged a report, police said it was difficult to charge the man as the woman voluntarily had sex with him.

The woman, 26, and her boyfriend had attended a friend's birthday party and left late at night.

Thinking that it was too late to go home, they decided to stay at a hostel in Guizhou, China.

In the middle of the night, she went to the common toilet outside the room.

But when she returned, she entered the wrong room.

After getting into the bed, the man in the bed wanted to have sex with her. Thinking that he was her boyfriend, she had sex with him.

Later the woman found out that the man was not her boyfriend and reported to the police.
