Unknown | 11:54 PM | | | Best Blogger Tips

A girl was allegedly raped by a constable in Saanghi village, about 12 km from Rohtak.

ROHTAK: A girl was allegedly raped by a constable in Saanghi village, about 12 km from here, police said on Saturday.

A case has been registered against the constable Ravinder, who is absconding, after the victims' parents placed the matter before a meeting of the district child welfare committee, which was chaired by deputy commissioner Vikas Gupta

According to the complaint lodged by the girl's parents, Ravinder took the minor girl to an unidentified place on January 27, where he raped her repeatedly.

He left her near Ghilaur police post the next day, threatening her with dire consequence if she informed the police about him.

On reaching home, the girl narrated the incident to her parents.

"The case is being investigated from various angles. Police teams have been carrying out raids to nab the accused who is absconding since after the incident," police said.

The girl was shifted to a shelter home here after her medical examination was conducted at PGIMS, they said.

Wife posts bail for man charged with raping daughter

Unknown | 9:09 PM | | | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

KUALA LUMPUR - A wife insisted on posting bail for her husband in the Sessions court here, although he had been slapped with three counts of raping and molesting their 15-year-old daughter.

The husband, a 38-year-old army staff sergeant, had earlier pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
The prosecution, represented by deputy public prosecutor S. Malini Anne, had not offered bail as she was concerned that the accused might harass his daughter further.
However, the accused, from the dock, asked to be granted bail and said his wife was present to post bail for him.
Dressed in a long black robe and a bright pink headscarve, the wife said "Yes", when the judge repeatedly asked if she was sure of her decision, as the victim was her own daughter.
"As a wife, I know my husband is problematic," she told the court.
Judge Emelia Kaswati Mohamad Khalid, however, still did not appear satisfied with her answer and continued to grill her.
Emelia: Can you vouch that he will not harass your daughter? Can you ensure that they will live separately?
Wife: Yes.
Emelia: What if he harasses you, or if he has the key to your home? What if he forces you to open the door for him? Puasa (the fasting month), and Hari Raya are coming soon. I'm sure he'll want to see the family. Can you ensure they (father and daughter) won't meet?
Wife: I am fully responsible for my promise.
On the first charge, the man was accused of raping his daughter in a bedroom of their home in Desa Tun Hussein Onn, here, at about 3am on June 21, this year.
This amounts to an offence under Section 376 of the Penal Code, and if convicted, he can be jailed between eight and 30 years, and sentenced to at least 10 strokes of the rotan.
On the second charge, he was accused of molesting his daughter by inserting his finger into her private parts, at the same time and place. He also faces a third charge of molesting the girl by groping her private parts at about 3am, one night in the middle of last year.
Both charges are offences under Section 354 of the Penal Code, and the man can be jailed up to 10 years, or fined, or whipped, or face any two of such punishments, for each charge.
The court finally granted him bail at RM8,000 (S$3,259) with one surety for all three charges, with additional conditions that both father and daughter are separated and not allowed to meet at all.
The court also ordered him to report himself to the police station nearest his home once a month, and fixed Aug 2 for mention.

Investigators said a man has died while in the act of raping an elderly South Texas woman.

Isabel Chavelo Gutierrez
The Refugio County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 53-year-old Isabel Chavelo Gutierrez. Sheriff’s Sgt. Gary Wright said the incident happened June 2 after he rode two miles by bicycle from his home to that of his 77-year-old victim in the tiny coastal community of Tivoli.
Wright said the 5′-7″, 230-to-250 pound man sneaked into the woman’s house and raped her at knifepoint.
During the assault, he said he wasn’t feeling well, rolled over, and died.
Gutierrez’ body was sent to the Nueces County medical examiner in Corpus Christi for autopsy.
Gutierrez was a registered sexual offender on parole from a sentence for aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child.

Waiter accused of raping Singapore air-stewardess in Hong Kong

Unknown | 4:56 AM | | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

HONG KONG - A Nepalese waiter is in court for raping a Singapore air stewardess in Hong Kong, according to the Shin Min Daily News.
The suspect is 21-year-old Gu Lun. He admitted to having sex with the 23-year-old stewardess after his arrest, but claimed she was the one who initiated sex and 'flashed her chest at him'.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The two met at yacht party on June 27 last year, when the stewardess was on an annual trip to Hong Kong to visit her relatives.
he was a frequent patron of the Beijing Club in Lan Kwai Fong in recent years, where she got to know a DJ who spins there.
The DJ invited her to the promotional party on the yacht.
She went to the party with a few girl friends and told the court she got very drunk after having vodka, red wine and beer.
She woke up the next morning in her own home with no recollection of what happened the night before.
However while showering, she felt a sharp pain in her lower body. She immediately contacted her friends and realised that she had been sexually assaulted.
The Chinese daily reported that one of the stewardess' friends who took the stand said after she got very drunk, her friends brought her to rest in one of the yacht's cabins.
When one of them returned 15 minutes later however, she found the door to the cabin blocked by the suspect's twin brother, Gurung Ram.
His twin brother has also been charged with assisting the rape.
The friend managed to push her way through and found Gu lying on top of the stewardess.
According to the friend, Gu got up and said "sorry", before leaving the room,
Not a party girl
In court, the air stewardess denied that she is a "party girl".
In cross-examining her, Gu's defence lawyer also pointed out that she said she woke up at 11am the next morning, but records showed that text messages were sent from her phone at 8am.
He alleged that in the same vein, she could have forgotten what she had said or done the night before as well.
The stewardess broke down on hearing this and a break had to be called before the trial continued.
Last July, local media reported that a Singaporean exchange student had been raped six times by three Nepalese men on a yacht.
She had met them earlier at a pub in Lan Kwai Fong, Hong Kong's famous nightlife district.
But subsequent reports clarified that the victim was not a Singaporean.
