The Attorney-General's Chambers today confirmed that it has received investigation papers (IPs) on several opposition leaders and Bersih 2.0 leaders from the police to look into the possibility of charging them for their involvement in the July 9 rally calling for electoral reform.
Those named also include PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu, whom police are investigating for an allegedly false report he lodged stating that a police vehicle had collided with the motorcycle he was on.
Kuala Lumpur prosecution head Raja Rozela Raja Toran, when contacted, also confirmed the list includes opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, Batu MP Tian Chua and Bersih 2.0 chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan.
