Amazing transformation: Woman goes from size 32 to 12

A mother who struggled to take her young daughter to the playground without getting out of breath is celebrating after losing an incredible 17stone. 

Vikki Billingham, who tipped the scales at a staggering 27 stone, could barely manage a trip to the shops and was embarrassed to go out most of the time.

The mother-of-two from the West Midlands found it difficult to get clothes to fit her size 32 figure and her weight was preventing her from being active with her young daughter.
And it was this that spurred her to try and lose some weight.

Generation 709 goes yellow at KLCC

A group calling itself 'Generation 709' gathers for "Yellow Saturday" at the KLCC park.

PETALING JAYA: A group calling itself “Generation 709” gathered at the KLCC park in order to show solidarity for Bersih 2.0′s cause and to demand justice for the late Baharuddin Ahmad.

Dressed in yellow, the group numbering some 50 people held placards and yellow flowers.

“We are here to show concern over the political situation in Malaysia. We are also calling for the release of the (Parti Socialis Malaysia) EO 6 who did not do any harm to the country,” said spokesperson Lee Khai Loon.

The real-life primary school teacher from Bota, Perak, has attracted more than a million hits on the video sharing website with her wacky, mimed music videos.


From Shakira's World Cup theme song Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) to local hit Kalau Berpacaran by Sohaimi Meor Hassan and Anna Raffali and Arabic pop smash For The Rest Of My Life by Palestinian-born Swedish R&B singer Maher Zain, some 40 popular songs have gotten the Cikgu Syida treatment of weird costumes, funny dance moves and silly facial expressions.


True, there are more than a few music videos of the sad-wannabe-in-the-bedroom variety that will make you cringe but the more you watch, the more impressed you will get with the irreverence and sense of freedom that Cikgu Syida infuses in them.


What started out as a fun hobby and outlet for letting off steam has become a teaching aid for the 38-year-old English teacher, who sees her videos as an effective motivational tool for her students.
