Students turn back alley into sex den

Traders in the area claim to have witnessed these activites almost daily since the beginning of the year.

MALACCA: A group of delinquent secondary school students have turned the back alley of a commercial centre in Jalan Gajah Berang into a pre-dawn "sin and sex" paradise.

The students converge at the area as early as 5.30am before going "wild" some explicitly engaging in sexual acts which traders in the area claim to have witnessed almost daily since the beginning of the year.

Many were spotted smoking before the school session started at 7.40am.

"These students have gone wild. We have caught them kissing at back lanes. They have no shame even if someone watches them.

"They caress, kiss and even indulge in oral sex in the semi-lit alleys," said a trader, 45, who requested anonymity.

State Education, Youth and Sport committee chairman Datuk Gan Tian Loo expressed his disappointment.

"I am startled over these students and their morally despicable activities," he told The Star yesterday.

Gan said he had just embarked on a campaign to eliminate school gangs when notified about the students' behaviour and would now also have to focus on moral behaviour.

"I am supposed to meet a group of students with disciplinary problems at a secondary school (today) to delve on matters relating to gangsterism but it appears I have to start my inaugural campaign at Gajah Berang schools."

The Star visited the area at 5.30am and discovered a teenage girl in school uniform fondling and kissing her peer at the back lane of a fast food outlet.


At another part of the alley, 10 students including schoolgirls were smoking even after they were aware of the media's presence in the area.

The principal of one of the schools near the alley encouraged the media to highlight the students' behaviour in the hope that police would intensify patrols in the area.

State police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said police would dispatch school liaison officers to all three schools to meet with the principals.

"We will investigate the traders' claims and step up our patrols. We have to nip this in the bud," he said.

Students forced to be cabbie's sex slaves

Six students believed to be aged from 15 to 17 were forced to be sex slaves of an elderly taxi driver in Kuala Lumpur who had used video clips of him raping them to blackmail them for about a year.

He had threatened to make the video clips public if they did not have some more sex with him.


The 54-year-old taxi driver raped his victims and recorded the sex acts on his handphone.

Police said the video clips showed the victims screaming, crying and pleading to be released.

The videos also showed the victims being raped in various sexual positions.

Police believe at least six students were his sex slaves because his handphone had video clips of six girls being raped. The first rape occurred last August.

The taxi driver was arrested on Monday, 11 days after two of his sex slaves mustered enough courage to lodge police reports. Police announced his arrest on Thursday.

The first two reports were made on May 20 by two of the victims who are from the same school in Pandan Indah, Ampang. The third victim from another school lodged a report on May 29.

The first victim decided to lodge a report after being convinced to do so by her friend whom she shared her torment with.

It is learnt that her schoolmate approached the victim after seeing her getting into the same taxi several times.

Following the reports, police planned an operation and staked out a taxi stand on Jalan Imbi in Kuala Lumpur for three days. The cabbie was nabbed at 9.30pm on Monday.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Com Abdul Jalil Hassan said on Thursday that police believe the suspect could have an accomplice who held the handphone to record the rapes.

"The suspect's handphone is the most vital piece of evidence in this case," he said

ACP Abdul Jalil said the modus operandi of the suspect was to wait outside the school for a student to get into his taxi.

Along the way to the student's destination, the taxi driver would suddenly say he had an emergency to attend to and had to rush to his house. He would seek permission from the victim before driving to his house.

Once he reached his house in Taman Muda, Ampang, the cabbie would force the victim into his house before raping her.

The suspect, who has been a taxi driver for 17 years, has no previous criminal records and he has been living on his own in the house.

The suspect have been remanded for seven days until Monday to facilitate investigations.

So far only three students have lodged reports and police are urging the other three victims to come forward to help with the investigations.

Man with 90 kids and 17 wives to wed again

Daad Mohammed Al Balushi, United Arab Emirates' super dad who has 90 children from 17 wives is all set to marry yet again in two weeks.

The 63-year-old big daddy says "100 children are within reach", reported The Khaleej Times.

Two of his wives are expecting kids in June. “Next month, by the grace of God, I will be the father of 92 children,” he said. He already has 50 grandchildren.

“Now I have three wives. I will have my fourth wife after next week when I get married to Rukhsana Arif from Pakistan. There will be a big feast. His Highness Shaikh Humaid will bear all the expenses,” the paper qouted him as saying.

Al Balushi calls himself a 'global father' as his wives come from Philippines and Morocco even. "Unfortunately, it is not allowed to have more than four wives at a time. If allowed, I can manage 20 wives at a time. But I never marry a divorcee or widow."

Each wife lives separately with her children in luxury. Each home has a car and housemaids. "Now, I have 17 houses with 17 families, all under my care," says the super dad. He currently has 60 sons and 30 daughters.

The entire family meets in Manamah every week in Al Balushi’s old home. He visits Manamah on Thursday nights to attend the weekly court of the Ajman Ruler.

“Life and death is in God’s hand. If I live, I am certain I will achieve the target. I have given word to the Late President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, that I will have at least 100 children before I die,” said Al Balushi.

He said he made the promise in 2002 while late Sheikh Zayed honoured him and other UAE nationals with the most number of children. He came on top then and remains there till this day.

Al Balushi lost his leg in a road accident in 1995. He said he would go to Jaipur, India, to have an artificial leg next month and possibly look for a new bride there.

His father Murad Abdul Rahman lived until 110 years and had four wives with 27 children.

SHOPLIFTER TOOK ITEMS FROM SUPERMARKET AND ASKED FOR REFUND

 JOBLESS man who came up with a devious spin on shoplifting was still caught and will go to jail.

Mervyn Koo Yong Wei, 33, helped himself to items from supermarket shelves and lied to cashiers that he had bought them earlier, but wanted a refund. And even with no receipt, he was sometimes successful in getting them.

In between cheating supermarkets, he also molested a 13-year-old girl and made three obscene calls to a police hotline.

A district court gave him an eight-month jail term yesterday. 

Asking for a deterrent sentence, Deputy Public Prosecutor Paul Wong Chun Yi noted that Koo had previous convictions for cheating between 2002 and 2004.

On May 19 last year, he pulled his stunt at Cold Storage in Parkway Parade, and got $113 for six boxes of hair dye. He lied that he had misplaced the receipt, but got his “refund” when the store confirmed it stocked that brand. 

On Nov 24, he was on a roll.

After cheating the Cold Storage in PoMo mall in Selegie Road of $84 with his ruse, he went to the Cold Storage outlet in Funan mall.

There, the duty manager insisted he leave the items there and return the next day with the receipt. He did not, but instead walked off with the items, which were cosmetics worth $64.

An hour later, he stole $132 worth of cosmetics from Cold Storage at Centrepoint. 

His luck ran out the next day. When he tried to trick Cold Storage in UE Square into a $121 “refund”, the police were called in. 

His reasons for targeting Cold Storage outlets and beauty products for the offences did not come up in court or in court papers.

Cold Storage did not respond to queries on its refund policy. 

Police investigations also linked him to the molesting of an underage girl in the carpark of Gek Poh Shopping Centre in Jurong West on Nov 16 last year.

The court heard that Koo approached her, claiming to have forgotten his cellphone, and asked her if she could send a text message to his friend using her phone. But the number he gave was his, so he got her number. As she was using the phone, he stroked her head and back. The girl ran off. Six minutes later, he sent her a message offering her $500 a week to be his “adopted daughter”.

On Nov 21, he drank three bottles of beer and called 999 thrice, asking the policewomen who answered for sex in an abusive way.

For molesting a victim below 14, Koo could have been jailed up to five years, fined up to $10,000 and/or caned up to 24 strokes. 

The maximum punishment for each cheating offence is a 10-year jail term and a $10,000 fine.
