2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Review

Bristling with Technology, Built for Speed

When passion and technology merge, great literbikes are born — including the 2012 Ninja® ZX™-10R. Overhauled just last year, the ZX-10R bristles with the newest technology, including Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control, elevating it above all others in its class. Kawasaki engineers created an engine that produces an astounding amount of horsepower, yet maintains the realibility Kawasaki is known for. All of this technology only enhances the already incredible speed and intense feeling a rider gets while aboard a ZX-10R.

The highly advanced and customizable Sport-Kawsaki Traction Control lets riders harness and capitalize on the ZX-10R’s amazing blend of power and responsive handling. The system is called Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control, or S-KTRC. Exclusive to the ZX-10R, it offers a level of performance that raises the ZX above the rest of the open sport bike class.

Asia's richest families

Unknown | 5:06 PM | | | Best Blogger Tips

With Asia's culture of family businesses, it is no wonder that many of the region's largest companies are family firms, with members of the family taking part.
A recent report on CNBC.com compiled a list of Asia's wealthiest families, with data from Wealth-X, a research firm that provides information to private banks and consulting firms.
Net worth was calculated based on public and private holdings, estimated cash salaries, dividends, and all other investible assets.
For each of the families in the list, at least two members play an active part in the business.

Doctors were surprised to find this eerie image staring back at them out of the screen
D
octors at Queen’s University in Toronto, Canada, thought they were going nuts when they saw what appeared to be the outline of a man’s face staring back at them in an ultrasound image of a tumour.
Dr Naji Touma and Dr Gregory Roberts were scrolling through images of a testicular tumour on a computer when they did a double take.
"It was very ghoulish, like a man screaming in pain. His mouth was open and it looked like one eye was gouged out," said Touma, a professor at Queen’s University Medical School and urologist at Kingston General Hospital.

While Najib dozes at CHOGM, daughter creates a stir with lavish shopping

P
rime Minister Najib Razak may have left Perth, Australia for Mecca, where he is due to perform the Umrah prayers to cleanse himself and to atone to God before focusing on the 13th general elections.
But Australians, especially the Perth retailers, sure remember him and his family during their latest visit there for CHOGM meeting.
Despite raging debate at the summit, with former Malaysian premier Abdullah Badawi heatedly championing a common stand amongst Commonwealth nations to prevent abuse of human rights, the placid Najib still managed to steal his own thunder.
Over the weekend, Najib was snapped dozing off in the middle of a speech by another head of government. The picture was flashed all around cyberspace and created much rude laughter in Malaysia.

Rahim Noor should crawl back into the woodwork and stay there

Unknown | 3:19 AM | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

A
man who infamously trampled upon the rights of others has no right to speak on human rights. He is the least qualified to speak on this subject.
Yet, the former Inspector–General of Police, Abdul Rahim Mohd Noor, emerging as it were from the dead, expressed some startling views on human rights.
He is quoted as having said that the coming of a “human rights wave” would threaten the principles on which this country was founded.
In what way would the “human rights wave” threaten the principles on which this country was founded? The principles on which this country was founded is embodied in the Federal Constitution, which was agreed upon mutually by all the communities that aspired for a free and independent Malaya.

Senate or sewer: What has KS Nalla ever done for Malaysia?

Unknown | 3:11 AM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

M
alaysia’s Dewan Negara or Senate consists of 70 members, the majority of whom (44) are appointed by the King on the advice of the Prime Minister. The rest represent their states. The Senate’s original role of functioning as a check and balance on Parliament was entirely lost once the majority of the Senators owed their appointments to the PM. They are no longer likely to question bills passed by the Parliament.
The Senate has therefore become a way for the BN to appoint to Ministerial position those who have been rejected by the people; like Women's minister Shahrizat Jalil, Gerakan president Koh Tsu Koon and MIC chief G Palanivel. It is also a way for BN political parties to fulfill their members' insatiable thirst for power, position and money. The Senate’s real objective seems irrevocably lost.

How Malay must a Malay be to satisfy Ibrahim Ali and Dr M?

Unknown | 3:04 AM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

I
brahim Ali’s pipe dream of fighting for the Malay is as fantastic as thinking we can resurrect the Dodo by cross breeding pigeon with ostriches. The assertion that only Malays are superior, and yet lagging behind at the same time, actually insults the very idea of what it means to be Malay.
"'Modern Malays' are an admixture of races," said Professor Zilfalil Alwi, whose paper "Asal Usul Melayu Berdasarkan Fakta Genetik" (Tracing the Origins of the Malays by Analysing Genetic Data) discusses a three-year study involving around 50,000 volunteers. "Nowadays you can't tell the difference whether someone is Chinese or Malay by appearance alone," he added.

H
UNAN, China - In a photo that has touched many netizens, a 10-year-old girl in a rural town is seen cradling her baby brother to sleep.

This would not be a scene out of the ordinary except for the fact that the photo was taken in a primary school classroom where lessons were being conducted.

The photographer, Lu Qixing, who captured the touching image, said the siblings' parents work outside of their hometown, and their grandparents are farmworkers, so the girl had no choice but to take her baby brother to school.

Record-breaker ... Chanel Tapper

T
HIS woman's record is a bit of a mouthful — she's got the longest tongue in the world.
Chanel Tapper, 21, — who has a whopping 9.7cm tongue — has been officially certified by Guinness as having the world's longest licker.
Chanel, from Houston, US, shot to fame aged 13 when she was spotted sticking out her monster tongue in a YouTube video.
In September Guinness invited Chanel to Los Angeles where they measured her tongue and she narrowly beat two other female contenders to the record.
Student Chanel said she loves her record-breaking tongue.
She said: "I have always been silly and goofy. I love sticking my tongue out at people.
"I started doing that back in school. I've never had a problem with having a long tongue, it's just fun."
Chanel now has set her sights set on Hollywood after finishing her studies.
She said: "I'd love to be in a movie. I'm certainly pretty dramatic, so I think I could have the acting gift.
"Really, I'd love to meet Adam Sandler, he's my favourite."

Man beheaded in Saudi Arabia

F
ACING world outrage for their barbaric practice of beheading prisoners, Saudi Arabia’s rulers responded in ruthless fashion.

A man accused of sorcery was hauled to a public car park, where his head was chopped off in front of dozens of onlookers.
Gruesome footage of the execution soon appeared on the internet.
It shows the executioner lining his sword up on the back of the accused, on his knees and blindfolded, before one swift stroke decapitates him.
Human rights groups yesterday branded the execution in Medina “appalling” and called on the Saudis to abolish the death penalty.
The Sudanese victim – Abdul Hamid Bin Hussain Bin Moustafa al-Fakki – is believed to be the 44th person executed there this year, and the 11th foreign national.
