Jamie Ellis stabbed Alami Gotip more than 30 times
A teenager pleaded guilty to murdering a young mother-of-two in a knife attack after a row about garlic bread.

Jamie Ellis stabbed Alami Gotip, 22, more than 30 times at her home in the Dedridge area of Livingston, West Lothian.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard that her young children were asleep upstairs at the time of the attack on 25 May.
Ellis, 18, said he snapped because she had been "moaning at him" because he had not made garlic bread for tea.
He later told police he felt their relationship was coming to an end and said: "I love her that much I can't possibly imagine her with anyone else."

Children of murdered M'sian man fly to Papau to claim body

Children of murdered M'sian man fly to Papau to claim body
Department store general manager Wong Tee Tee was driving his Toyota sport utility vehicle in Port Moresby when a group of unidentified men shot at his car at close range.
The 63-year-old Malaysian, who had lived in the Papua New Guinea capital for 20 years, was killed Wednesday.
His two children, who live in Singapore, are flying there Saturday to identify and collect his body.
It is not known why Wong was killed, but the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary's acting deputy commissioner, Fred Yakasa, said that he believes the incident was planned and organised by 'non-Papua New Guineans'.
"It is similar in nature to the attempted murder of another Asian businessman," he said in a statement.
"I assume that there is some level of organised crime syndicate at play somewhere. We do not have the evidence to prove this at this point in time, but I am confident we will in the near future."
The Straits Times understands that Wong married a Singaporean in 1978 and has two grown-up children - a daughter and a son - in Singapore.
When contacted, his son - who wanted to be known only as Ng - asked for privacy and declined to comment on his father and their relationship.
It was unclear when Wong last contacted his family, but his sudden death set off a mad scramble by his friends to contact his next-of-kin.
One of them, Cliff Poh, posted an advertisement in The Straits Times Friday asking to get in touch with Wong's children in Singapore.
The Singaporean, who has business dealings in Papua New Guinea, said he managed to reach Wong's son and daughter yesterday, and will be accompanying them to the Pacific island Saturday.
Papua New Guinea has a sizeable community of Malaysians.
Last year, a similar attempt was made on the life of Malaysian businessman Jason Tan. Two Chinese nationals were later arrested and charged with attempted murder in that case.

9-year-old girl raped, murdered

Unknown | 8:47 PM | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

LAHORE - A 9-year-old girl was found dead after being raped by unidentified kidnappers, a day after the City police refused of registering her kidnapping case here in Shadbagh area, police sources said on Thursday.
Police investigators said that unidentified kidnappers strangled Eesha Hussain to death after committing gang-rape in the densely populated Shadbagh area.
"There were severe torture marks on the private parts of the body. The girl was lying naked and apparently, it seemed that she fell prey to some beasts," eyewitnesses said, adding, the police reached the spot one hour late after they spotted the dead body and contacted the police.
Resident of Gundi Bomby area, Eesha Hussain was lying dead inside a gowdown situated a few hundreds meter away from her residence as the police reached the spot. One of the workers at the godown spotted her "naked dead body" with blood and torture marks on early Thursday and contacted the police by phone. The police have shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made so far.
Najma Bibi, mother of the deceased, told reporters outside the Dead House that Eesha left her residence on Wednesday afternoon to fetch some edibles from a nearby shop but did not return.
The deceased family desperately searched her in the entire locality but to no avail. Later, Aashiq Hussain reached the Shadbagh police station and appealed to the police for registration of kidnapping case and recovery of her daughter. "But, the policemen did not bother to pay heed to my repeated requests," her father said.
Police sources said that unidentified gangsters kidnapped the girl and took her to some unknown location, where they raped her one by one. After committing rape, the abductors strangled the girl to death and fled away after throwing her naked body in the dilapidated godown situated in the same locality.
"The policemen are responsible for the gruesome killing. Had they responded quickly and responsibly, the life of Eesha could have been saved," Shama Bibi, a close relative of the girl said while tears were rolling down from her cheeks. A police investigator, requesting his name not to be mentioned, said that it was yet to be established whether the girl was raped by one killer or it was a case of murder after gang-rape.
