A READER was tickled pink by this video of a Beijing woman creating her own parking lot and putting up her own parking sign, Stomp reported.

The reader who submitted the video was amused by the efforts the woman put in to get her own parking space.

A 21-year-old Malaysian woman was surprised when a man offered her a RM6,000 job as a personal assistant. A car and all-expenses paid shopping trips were also thrown in.

But what was more shocking was an unusual request by her boss - he wanted her to watch him masturbate.

People got hurt. Some bled. Some had fractures. One brave soul even died. Thousands suffocated and gasped and were blinded under torrents of chemical laced water cannons and stinging tear gas. This was the world attention grabbing Bersih 2.0 walk for Democracy in Malaysia.

Now the government of Malaysia has officially responded: No, no do not twist and turn the facts. The people got hurt because they were careless. The ones that bled were because they fell down, lah.

Fractures? The bandage could be a fake just like the case of that one man who once punched his own eyeball, remember? And the one and only death was he died of ‘heart attack’ – also cannot eh?

So stop accusing the government and its faithful police force.

Unarmed Man Shot by Police in Pakistan – Who Casually Watch as he Bleeds to Death in Street

After pleading for life on his knees, an unarmed man is shot at point blank range by a military police officer before being left to bleed to death in the street.

In the footage, a plain-clothed man grabs the victim, who allegedly robbed someone, by the hair and drags him over to a group of paramilitary rangers in Karachi, Pakistan.

He is forced to his knees with his hands behind his back. He pleads for mercy, then one of the soldiers shoots him twice – once in the leg and again in the arm.

The man, identified as Sarfaraz Shah, falls to the ground and screams in pain. He then tips over and passes out as blood spurts from his gaping wounds.

In the horrifying footage, the man dies in front of crowds of uniformed officers, as they chat and look on, standing in the street.

He died next to a park named after late Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto, who was seen around the world as a symbol of democracy.

It is likely to erode what little public confidence remains in Pakistan’s security forces who have been on the defensive since Osama bin Laden was killed in a U.S. raid.

The video which has triggered fresh criticism of Pakistan’s human rights record and the unpopular government which many say has failed to rein in a heavy-handed police force and military.

‘There is the law of the jungle in this country and no one is accountable for his action or deeds.’

Zohra Yusuf, head of the independent Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, said: ‘It shows that our law enforcement agencies have truly become trigger happy and the brutalization of society that has come about as a consequence.

‘It’s very very disturbing and it’s been happening too often.’

A senior police official initially described the incident as an encounter with an armed criminal.

The cameraman who shot the video has received anonymous death threats, his boss at local station Awaz TV said.

News of the death was splashed across the front pages of newspapers beside photographs of Shah’s grieving relatives.

One headline read: ‘Karachi extra-judicial killing shocks Pakistan.’

There were widespread demonstrations after Sarfaraz Shah’s death about the military police, who have been widely criticized for abusing the extra security powers they have been given to protect volatile Karachi, Pakistan’s business capital.

Mr Shah’s brother told the BBC: ‘My brother was innocent, he was walking in the park.

‘The whole world has seen what has happened.’

The video comes a few days after a prominent journalist, who had reported that Al Qaeda was behind the Pakistani Taliban raid on an air base, was tortured to death.

Suspicion has fallen on military intelligence, who have denied any part in the killing. The Daily Times said the military, paramilitary forces, police and intelligence agencies ‘who confidently violate human rights’ should be held accountable for their actions.

An editorial comment read: ‘The security and law enforcement forces that do not respect the law themselves are inviting anarchy, which arguably is already under way.’

Last year, a video emerged of two teenage brothers, believed to be robbers, being beaten to death before being strung up on a metal pole in broad daylight. Several policemen had watched the lynching take place.

The Pakistani prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, said an inquiry would be launched after the Karachi incident and the culprits punished. But increasingly frustrated Pakistanis have little faith in the government.

Mohammad Sultan, a retired soldier who now works as a security guard, said: ‘There is the law of the jungle in this country and no one is accountable for his action or deeds. This is pathetic.’

Couple Savagely Beat Son, 3, for Wetting his Pants – Then Order Pizza, Watch a Movie as he Slowly Died

A mother and her boyfriend savagely beat her three-year-old son for wetting his pants – then casually ordered pizza and watched a movie as the boy slowly died.

Little Noah Fake struggled for breath for hours after being battered about the head by Robin Greinke, 26, and her boyfriend Steven Neil, 33, after he urinated on himself, according to police in Orlando, Florida. The beating lasted for more than an hour, and when the couple were finished they called out for a pizza and put on a DVD, said detective Chris Dillon of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

His mother, who has been charged with first-degree murder, is on suicide watch at Orange County Jail. According to an arrest affidavit, she told investigators she saw her boyfriend kick Noah, pick him up by the waistband of his trousers and slam him again and again into the living room floor. She told deputies she helped Neil beat up her son because he had wetted his pants. Greinke said she kicked Noah, pinched him on his cheeks and poked him in the chest.

‘He urinated in his pants and on top of a little alcohol used by both of them, and the possibility of some pills, they ended up beating their son to death.’  Greinke did not seek help for her son until the early hours of the following morning, calling 911 and telling operators he was wheezing and could not breathe.  An ambulance crew tried to resuscitate him with CPR before taking him to Dr Phillips Hospital, Orlando, where he was pronounced dead.

At first medics thought Noah had contracted meningitis, but a post mortem conducted by the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s office revealed he died from blunt-force trauma to the head. The couple initially told investigators Noah had sustained the injuries from a playground fall and jumping around in the living room, according to the affidavit. Greinke told detectives that she wanted to call for help earlier but that Neil had persuaded her to wait until the morning. Detective Dillon said: ‘The mother made a full confession about how they beat the baby. She was very apologetic but it’s too late now because he’s gone.’

Greinke and Neil were both charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and child neglect and face a potential death sentence if convicted. Florida’s Department of Children and Families said they had no previous dealings with the couple, who used to live in West Palm Beach and were visiting the state from Illinois. Noah was the only child in the Orlando flat at the time, police said. Neil is reported to have a child about the same age as Noah with another woman.

Court records in Palm Beach County show his former wife sought a restraining order against him three years ago for repeated domestic violence. He has also faced drink-driving charges in Illinois. Dillon said investigators were shocked at the brutality of the case. He said: ‘They’re going to jail and hopefully they won’t ever get out.’

Blood Splatters as Gory Crucifixions are Reenacted in Philippines – As Tourists Watch

Devotees re-enacted Jesus’s crucifixion in gory scenes while millions of other less extreme faithful across the Catholic Philippines prayed with their families on Good Friday.

A handful of people are traditionally nailed to crosses while hundreds more have their backs whipped until they bleed in Asia’s major Catholic outpost, to remember the day when Christians believe Jesus Christ died 2,000 years ago. In the small farming town of Cutud, a couple of hours’ drive north of Manila, thousands of tourists gathered to watch what has over the years become the biggest and bloodiest Good Friday spectacle. Fourteen people were nailed to crosses and hundreds were whipped as they walked through the town, their blood splattering onto the ground and walls of buildings. The most senior of those nailed to a cross, Ruben Enaje, 50, said he was going through the ordeal this year for the 25th time as a way of giving thanks to God for allowing him to survive an accident unscathed. “I will do this for as long as I can endure it,” Enaje told reporters.

Enaje, playing the part of Jesus, was led by villagers dressed as Roman centurions to a hill on the outskirts of town. Nails were driven through Enaje’s palms and he hung on the cross for 10 minutes while grimacing in pain, before being taken down so that the others could take their turns. The Catholic Church has discouraged the practice and criticized the organizers of the Cutud event for commercializing Good Friday in an effort to attract tourists, but the “penitentes” were unapologetic. “If they only respected our panata (sacred vows). This comes from the depths of our heart. We are not showing these off, we have our own beliefs,” Enaje said before he was nailed to cross. Enaje said he heard that other Philippine villages were paying people to be crucified, but insisted that things were different in Cutud. “The people in Cutud are sincere. We aren’t doing it for the money,” he said.

But as the religious ceremonies went on in Cutud, dozens of vendors hawked souvenirs, hats, cold drinks and snacks to the crowds of curious locals and Western tourists. German photojournalist Gunther Deichmann, a longtime resident of the Philippines, said the event was not as genuine as it had once been. “It’s a little bit more like a carnival now. Maybe 20 years ago it was more realistic,” he said. District tourism officer Ching Pangilinan denied church charges of commercialization, saying local authorities had an obligation to manage the event to prevent tourists from mobbing the place or being robbed. “People just come whether we promote it or not. So tourism assistance is necessary,” she said.

One of the most outspoken critics of the bloody rituals, Catholic Archbishop Rolando Tirona of a Manila district, said they were a misreading of church teachings, but he conceded there were powerful cultural reasons behind them. “The panata becomes so personal that nobody can correct or change them. They promise they will do this if their sick grandmother gets better and when she gets better, they say they have to fulfil their vows,” Tirona told AFP. Elsewhere in the country, Good Friday was marked with extreme solemnity with virtually all offices, shops and restaurants closed for the day. Music, laughter and loud noises are all discouraged as a sign of respect. Instead, Catholics made pilgrimages to different churches to pray, following the “stations of the Cross”, or Christ’s journey from the Last Supper to his crucifixion and resurrection. Nearly 80 per cent of people in the Philippines are Catholic, a legacy of the nation’s 300 years of Spanish colonial rule that ended at the turn of the 20th century.
