KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today he has accepted an offer from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to debate Datuk Seri Najib Razak and maverick blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.
Raja Petra had recently accused the opposition leader of forcing him out of an interview, leading Najib to accuse Anwar, who has repeatedly challenged the prime minister to a debate, of being inconsistent.
“Assange said he wants to organise the debate. It could be a three-cornered debate. I told him I agreed,” Anwar(picture) told a press conference today.

A MOTHER allowed her defacto husband to molest and rape her two teenage daughters under the guise of teaching them all about sex and protecting them from sexual predators, a jury has been told.
A Brisbane District Court jury on Monday was told the stepdad is also alleged to have taken apart in a three-way sex act with one of the girls and the mother during years of so-called sexual abuse.

'Beautiful' billionaire goes missing in China
A woman billionaire who owes about 600 million yuan (S$120 million) to private moneylenders and banks has gone missing, according to authorities in Changshu, Jiangsu province.
Gu Chunfang, dubbed the "most beautiful businesswoman" by residents, disappeared after borrowing more than 100 million yuan from banks and nearly 500 million yuan from private lenders by promising high returns with a 40 per cent annual interest rate, said Xi Jian, deputy director of Changshu Party committee's publicity department.
"More than 30 moneylenders have turned to public authorities for help. A panel consisting of court officials, police and the government's financing department are investigating the case," Xi said.

Nazri's son accused of beating up security guard: Another Darren Kang type of cover-up?
It looks like another super UMNO cover-up is on the way and this time it involves the son of Nazri Aziz, the minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
Nazri's son, Mohamad Nedim Mohd Nazri Aziz, allegedly drove up to a condominium in upmarket Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur in his Porsche tailed by his bodyguard in a luxury MPV and got involved in a fight with the building's security supervisor.
This is not the first time a violent encounter involving a son of Nazri's has taken place. In 2004, a 23-year-old law student Darren Kang was beaten to death allegedly by a group of workers at a restaurant in the Desa Sri Hartamas area, which is close by to Mont Kiara, after a spat involving Nazri's son. The workers - 10 Thais and one Malaysian - were arrested. Nazri's son was given the all-clear after questioning by the police.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 — Wanita Umno’s pro-Shahrizat faction shot back at their deputy Datuk Kamilia Ibrahim today, insisting her repeated demands for their leader’s resignation were not shared by the wing’s majority.
In a short statement claiming to represent Wanita Umno’s top echelon, including its central leadership and state chiefs, the wing insisted that Kamilia’s latest call for Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil’s resignation stemmed from “her own agenda and personal view”.

Raped girl suddenly told she's 'not welcome' anymore
A 13-year-old girl was sexually abused for two years by a male supervisor at a state-run hostel before being abruptly told she was no longer welcome there, a Perth court has heard.
Neil Vincent McKenna, 53, was a senior supervisor and acting warden at St Andrew's Hostel in the West Australian wheatbelt town of Katanning from 1986 to 1991, when he allegedly sexually abused three girls in his care, then aged 13 to 16.
McKenna is the brother of jailed serial pedophile Dennis McKenna, 66, who was a warden at the hostel from 1975 to 1990 and is the subject of an ongoing special inquiry into whether there was a cover-up of sexual abuse at the government-run facility.

Woman, 39, accused of breaking into house and raping man Australian Rebecca Elder 'performed oral sex' on alleged victim
A woman was today ordered to stand trial in Australia, accused of breaking into a man’s home and raping him.
Rebecca Helen Elder, 39, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated serious criminal trespass at the man’s home, and one count of rape.

Girl Raped, Set Afire and Left for Dead, but Survives
A young woman is clinging to life after being gang-raped, burned and left for dead in a construction-site ditch in a case that has horrified the people of Ukraine and sparked protests across the country about the seemingly lenient treatment of the suspects.
The incident, which occurred earlier this month in Mykolayiv, Ukraine, shocked the country; members of parliament have called for Ukraine to institute the death penalty for the three accused men, and one suggested that the alleged rapists be castrated.
Oksana Makar, 18, said that on March 9, she was invited by two young men, ages 21 and 23, to their friend’s apartment, where the three men allegedly gang-raped her, tried to choke her to death, wrapped her in a sheet, took her to a construction site, dumped her in a pit and set her on fire, according to the Kyiv Post.

Accused Afghan massacre soldier Robert Bales could face death penalty
Staff sergeant Robert Bales, the US Army soldier set to be charged in the killings of 16 Afghan civilian men, women and children, spent the weekend in pretrial isolation as military prosecutors prepared a case that may carry the death penalty.
An attorney retained to defend the 38-year-old soldier prepared to meet with him Monday after he was brought to the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., to await the charges, which military officials said could come this week.

Cop Caught Having Sex in Squad Car
(Memphis, TN) - Fox 13 has learned there's a copy of the radio broadcast that captured an on-duty cop allegedly having sex in his squad car. That recording is now part of an open investigation by the police department. It will be released at some point.
Sergeant Karen Rudolph says every Memphis Police Officer is given two modes of radio communication: a shoulder microphone that stays with them and a console mic that stays in their squad car.
