Recession is at the door and Najib is doing what he does best - NOTHING!

Unknown | 7:19 PM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

“The world economy is slowing sharply, and the euro region headed for recession this year, the International Monetary Fund predicted Tuesday in a bleak update of global conditions. Overall, the world economy is expected to expand 3.25 percent in 2012 - down from the 4 percent projected by the IMF in the fall.
That figure includes 8.2 percent growth in China, still the world’s most quickly expanding economy, and 7 percent in India. U.S. growth is forecast at 1.8 percent, the same as the fund projected in the fall.  In those cases and for the rest of the world, growth was being crimped by what remains the world’s major economic risk - the ongoing financial crisis in the euro zone. In a trio of reports released Tuesday morning, the IMF forecasts a “mild recession” for the 17-nation euro zone this year, and warns that matters could easily worsen”.
The above is indeed a grim outlook from the world financial body and will definitely affect the Malaysian economy, but what is Prime Minister Najib Razak doing about it?
Well, it looks like he is going to do what he does best - NOTHING!

I refer to the latest disgraceful attempt to smear Parliamentary Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with the fabricated sex video allegations, published today in the front page of the UMNO-owned Utusan Malaysia newspaper.
In the report, a member of the notorious 'Datuk T' group, Shuib Lazim, challenges the Opposition Leader to subject the sex video to forensic tests and threatens to produce new sex videos. Since March of last year, 'Datuk T' and UMNO linked media and bloggers have been periodically making the same type of false, malicious and baseless attack upon Anwar.

Datuk T sex sequel draws a yawn: Will Najib still reward the trio with seats to contest?

Unknown | 6:56 PM | | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

Despite being front-paged by Umno newspaper Utusan, the much-threatened Datuk T sex video sequel drew only a yawn, reflecting the low esteem the Malaysian public held for Prime Minister Najib Razak's party which has been blamed to sinking the country into unprecedented gutter politicking.
"Basically, the game is up. Nobody is so stupid as to fall for it anymore. Malaysians have made up their minds how capable a PM Anwar will be and how capable a PM Najib has been. They will make their decision at the ballot box, and it will be in Anwar's favor even if Datuk T screens a different sex video every night," Batu MP Tian Chua told Malaysia Chronicle.

The Single Dude's Guide to Singapore

Singapore, a tiny nation-state at the southern tip of Malaysia, is really on the rise these days. A haven for big banking and other big money businesses it is quickly, along with Hong Kong, turning into the economic powerhouse of Southeast Asia. **** is happening there, skyscrapers are going up all over the place and people are immigrating from all over the region (and the world) to get in on the party.

With that in mind, I went to Singapore for an extended period this summer and I have a lot to say about it. There’s great party there and an enormous number of hot chicks, but despite those advantages Singapore is absolutely not a recommended single dude travel destination.

Mr Tan has been running the boutique design school housed in a three-storey conservation shophouse in the Kampong Glam neighbourhood for two years.

He said: "I think there are benefits in being a young principal. It gives the school a cool and unorthodox principal, and I guess the students find it easier to talk to me than if I were 55 years old."
